Unable to build on an early two goal advantage, Medina dropped a 12-4 decision to Eden at Vets Park this afternoon in a Class C Division lacrosse game.

Medina jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first five minutes on goals by Jake Cotter and Brendan Luthart.

However, the Mustangs could manage only two more scores the rest of the way, a second period goal by Cotter and a third period tally by Aaron Feltz.

Eden answered Medina’s quick start with a burst of five straight goals, two coming on power plays, to rally into the lead for good.

The Raiders rallied into a 5-3 lead at the half and boosted the advantage to 8-4 after three quarters.

Eden, which is now 6-1 in the division, then put a firm lock on there victory by outscoring Medina 4-0 in the fourth quarter.

The loss drops Medina to 3-5 in the division and 6-5 overall.

The Mustangs next visit Silver Creek at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the Class C Division finale.
