Eagles rally to nip Mustangs

KENDALL – Rallying for two unanswered second half goals, Kendall edged past Medina/Lyndonville 3-2 this afternoon in a non league game keeping the Eagles perfect on the season at 7-0.

Kendall pulled even at 2-2 on a goal by Tyler Johnson at the 25 minute mark of the second half.

Keeping the pressure on, the Eagles then quickly netted what proved to be the game winner just six minutes later on a goal by Alex Sutphen.

Medina/Lyndonville had jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead on a goal by Steven Anderson off an assist from Anthony Pane six minutes into the first half.

Kendall pulled even on a goal by Will Condo mid way through the half but the Mustangs regained a 2-1 lead on a goal by James Ianni off an assist from Greg Husung in the final second of the half.

The loss drops the Mustangs to 5-3-1.

Akron 248, Albion 255

Noah Diebel shot 44 and Matt Martin 48 to lead Akron (7-3-3) past Albion (4-7) 248-255 this afternoon at Hickory Ridge.

John Krieger took medalist honors with a 39 and Dyer Benjovsky 47 for Albion.

Wilson 240, Medina 263
Zach Russell took medalist honors with a 46 for Wilson (9-3-1) in a 240-263 victory over Medina (4-7-1) at Shelridge.

Gage Masters led the Mustangs with a 49.

Barker 223, Newfane 246
Front-running Barker (11-0-1) downed Newfane (7-5) 223-246 as Brad Wilson took medalist honors with a 40, Mitch Luckman added a 42 and Alonzo St. Louis a 45. Aiden Herlan shot 42 for Newfane.
