Eagles and Mustangs both romp; Hawks bow in boys soccer Homecoming games

Kendall romped to an 8-0 win over visiting Pavilion/York and Medina/Lyndonville raced to a 9-0 victory over visiting Rochester Academy Charter in non league Homecoming boys soccer games this afternoon.

In another Homecoming contest, Holley dropped a narrow 2-1 decision to visiting Warsaw/Letchworth.

John Rath scored two goals to lead a parade of seven different Kendall scorers which also included Jacob Esposito, Nate Warters, Ryan Barrett, Brian Gonzalez, Mickey Gardner and Dale Steffen.

The Eagles led 5-0 at the half.

Hunter Menze registered the shutout in goal.

Medina/Lyndonville likewise got goal production from seven different players including two each from Nate Sherman and Devin Rounds and once each by Nate Dillenbeck, Evan Silversmith, Caelan Holland, Oskar Heinsler and Casey Winiecki.

Ray Paull and Noah Heinsler shared in earning the shutout in goal.

Warsaw/Letchworth scored with 17 minutes to go in the second half to snap a 1-1 deadlock and claim the win over Holley.

The Warsaw/Letchworth goals were scored by Cedric Aschwanden and Ethan Grover.

Holley had tied the game on a goal by Matt Wilson assisted by Nathan Nothnagle.
