Looking to keep the momentum from last spring’s strong 10-3 league and 12-5 overall record, Kendall is set to begin prepping for the Genesee Region campaign by hosting Barker in a non league game at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Anchoring the Kendall lineup will be the veteran group of senior Zach Barrett (pitcher/shortstop), juniors Louis Conte (infield/pitcher), James Fox (outfield/pitcher), James Swift (catcher/third base/outfield), Nate Shaw (first base), Jacek Kwiatkowski (outfield/infield/pitcher), sophomore Colby Hughes (catcher/second base) and freshman Nick Cole (first base/pitcher). Barrett and Conte both earned G-R All-Star honors.
The Eagles underclassmen dominated roster also includes senior Ronald Kuhn (outfield), junior Evan Levett (outfield), sophomore Gavin Braun (outfield/pitcher) and freshmen Jonathan Conte (first base/third base/pitcher) and Vincent D’Agostino (outfield/second base).
“We’ve got a pretty good core nucleus so we should be able to build on what we accomplished last year,” said Coach Tige Noni.
The Eagles are slated to begin the G-R season with four straight road games at Attica on April 13, at Notre Dame on the 15th, a Byron-Bergen on the 17th and at Lyndonville on the 18th.
