Eagles, Hawks earn G-R soccer honors

Champion Kendall has placed four players and Holley three on the annual Genesee Region League boys soccer All-Star team.
Kendall, which captured the G-R title with an 8-1-1 record, is represented by senior forward Alex Sutphen along with the junior trio of defender Will Condo, midfielder Riley Iqbal and forward Deandre Nauden.
In addition, Kendall coach Brian Duffy has been named G-R Coach of the Year.

Holley is represented by junior forward Tyler Chmylak, sophomore forward Gabe Mendoza and junior defender Jon Bower.
Kendall’s balanced attack included Sutphen with 11 goals and 15 assists, Condo with 10 goals and 8 assists, Iqbal 10 goals and 7 assists and Nauden with 4 goals.
Chmylak and Mendoza both had 8 goals and 3 assists to lead the Holley offense as Bower had a goal and an assist from his defensive position.
