Dynamites win two at Youth World Series
Improving to 3-0-1 in the tournament, the Dynamites 16U Travel Team scored a pair of run rule victories this afternoon at the Youth World Series at Lebanon, Ohio.
The Dynamites opened with an 11-1 win over the Cincinnati Defenders as a two-run double by Vinny Gray and RBI singes by Ryleigh Culver and Gavin Heideman highlighted a big five run first inning. Hits by Aiden Romesser and Brody Fry ignited the uprising.
The Dynamites also scored five times in the third inning on a two-run double by Ehren Pettapiece, RBI singles by Culver and Fry and a sacrifice bunt by Romesser.
Evan Poeller picked up the win on the mound allowing 2 hits and striking out 6 over four innings.
The the second contest the Dynamites blanked Post 165 8-0 as an RBI double by Culver in the first inning plated what proved to be the game winner.
The Dynamites quickly tacked on four runs in the second on a single by Fry and a three run error.
Jax Brinley allowed 2 hits and struck out 3 over five innings to get the win on the mound.
The Dynamites will continue tourney action on Friday.
