Dynamites split at Ohio Tournament
The Dynamites 16U Travel baseball team earned a split today in competition at the Youth World Series in Lebanon, Ohio.
The KC Kryptonite scored a run on an error in the sixth inning to nip the Dynamites 4-3 in the first game.
The Dynamites had tied the game at 3-3 in the fifth inning on a two-out, two-run single by Ryleigh Culver. Hits by Brennan Bowes and Evan Poeller set up the threat.
Rebounding, the Dynamites then downed the Indiana Blacksnakes 6-1 to stay alive in the tourney.
Brody Fry went the distance on the mound scattering 4 hits and striking out 8.
The Dynamites took the lead for good by scoring three runs in the third inning on RBI hits by Ehren Pettapiece and Poeller and an error.
A three run fourth inning on RBI singles by Poeller, Aiden Romesser and Culver then locked up the win.
The Dynamites, which are now 4-1-1, will continue tournament competition on Saturday morning.
