The Dynamites 16U Travel Team scored a pair of victories today to open competition in the Cap Classic Baseball Tournament being held in Cheektowaga.

The Dymnamites opened with a 12-0 run rule victory over the 716 Patriots.

A huge 8 run first inning quickly broke the contest wide open as Evan Poeller had a double, Ryleigh Culver a two-run double, Jax Brinley a two-run single and Vinny Gray an RBI single.

Tyler Kroening tacked on a two-run double to key a 4 run second inning.

The Dynamites then turned back a late inning rally to nip the Angels 4-3.

The Dynamites built up a 4-0 lead by scoring once in the first on a hit batter, twice in the fifth on singles by Culver and Brody Fry and once in the sixth on a ground out off the bat of Culver for what proved to be the game winner.

The Angels made the finish exciting by rallying for 3 runs in the seventh inning.

Improving to 10-3, the Dynamites will play two more games in the tournament on Saturday.
