Dynamites score two more wins at Cap Classic
For the second day in a row the Dynamites 16U Travel Team has scored a pair of victories at the Cap Classic Baseball Tournament which is being played in Cheektowaga.
The Dynamites first blanked the Royals Elite 8-0 this morning as Jax Brinley scattered 4 hits and struck out 4 over 5 innings.
Ryleigh Culver led the way at the plate with 3 hits.
The Dynamites scored 3 times in the fourth inning without the benefit of a hit as 3 errors keyed the uprising.
Brody Fry had an RBI single in the fifth inning and the Dynamites locked up the win with 4 more in the sixth as Evan Poeller had an RBI double and Culver an RBI single.
The Dynamites then downed the Lockport Storm 9-1 this afternoon as Gavin Heideman hurled a 3 hitter with 11 strikeouts.
The Dynamites scored once in the first on an error and twice in the second on a single by Ehren Pettapiece and a double by Poeller.
Three run scoring burst in both the third and fourth innings then broke the contest open. A two run error keyed the third inning scoring spurt. Fry then doubled in one run in the fourth and Culver singled in another.
Improving to 12-3, the two wins advance the Dynamites to Sunday’s semifinal and final rounds of competition.
