Dynamites, Team New Era split twin bill

The Roy-Hart Dynamites split a doubleheader with Team New Era on Saturday by the identical scores of 12-6.

In Game one, The Dynamites rallied back from an early 4-1 deficit to tie the game in the third inning with key hits by Javon and Amari Jones to plate one run apiece. Joe Cecchini knocked in the tying run.

The Dynamites continued their hitting in the fourth with a two out double by Brian Baes . With Beas on second, Kaeden Wisniewski hit a RBI single followed by a RBI double by Iverson Poole to plate 2 runs.

Amari Jones held Team New Era at bay with some solid pitching after relieving Brian Baes in the second Inning.

The Dynamites took a 6 to 4 lead into the sixth when Cecchini added another RBI to extend the lead to 7-4.

Xander Payne came to relieve Amari Jones in the sixth to hold a comeback by New Era to only 2 runs in the bottom of the inning.

With a 7 to 6 lead in the top of the seventh, the Dynamites got their bats going with a lead off single by Jay Heideman. Kaeden Wisniewski then batted in Heideman with a double in the gap. Poole then hit a towering two-run homer over left center field fence to extend the lead to 10 to 6.

The Dynamites weren’t done though, Ryan Mettler with the bases empty followed up with a single and a stolen base to get into scoring position. Javon Jones followed up dong the same as Mettler. After the bases were loaeded, Cecchini drove in another two runs with a single to extend the lead to 12.

With a 12-6 lead, Team New Era was shut down by Payne retiring the next three batters after a lead off single to end the game.

Javon Jones lead the team with 3 hits, Mettler, A. Jones, Cecchini, Wisniewski & Poole added 2 while Aidan Paul, Heideman,and  Baes each added 1.

In game two, the Dynamites were unable to over come a 12 run 5th inning by Team Nw Era to make it a two game sweep.

Mettler started the game and pitched 4 strong innings holding Team New Era to 0 runs.

The Dynamites took the lead in first inning  2-0 with after a single by Javon Jones  and a Thomas Russo Home run over Right field fence.

The Dynamites added to their lead in the 2nd with 3 more on a RBI double by Aidan Paul and a Sacrifice RBI by Wisniewski then followed by a ground rule double by Poole.

Taking a 5-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth Team New Era railed for 12 runs that the Dynamites could not come back from.

At the plate for the Dynamites, Russo and Paul had 2 hits while Cecchini, Wisniewski and Poole each added one.

The Dynamites are now 9 and 4.
