Dynamites go 2-2 at Northeast Tournament

The Dynamites Travel U15 baseball team went 2-2 at the PBR Northeast World Series Tournament held over the weekend in Cortland.

The Dynamites opened the tournament with a 6-0 win over TBD as Aiden Romesser hurled a 1 hitter with 8 strikeouts and no walks over 5 innings. At the plate, Isaac Smith and Vinny Gray both had a pair of hits.

The Dynamites then romped to a 19-3 victory over the Tri City Bombers scoring 7 runs in the third inning and 12 more in the fourth. Evan Poeller had 3 hits as Smith, Brody Fry and Ryleigh Culver each chipped in with 2.

The Dynamites then managed just 4 hits in a narrow 4-2 loss to Baseball Anthracite Black which scored twice in the fifth inning to snap a 2-2 tie.

In the final contest this afternoon the Dynamites lost 6-3 to the Seneca All-Star Red.

Trailing 2-0, the Dynamites rallied into a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning as a sacrifice bunt by Romesser plated one run and a home run by Fry drove in two more.

However, Seneca answered back with a decisive four run rally in the sixth inning scoring on an error, a two-run single and a groundout.

Fry pitched the first five innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs with 6 strikeouts.

The Dynamites are now 26-9 on the season.
