Dynamites claim two diamond victories

The Dynamites got back on track with a pair of wins of 12-4 over Fusion Baseball and 15-3 over the West Seneca Warriors.

Saturday Fusion Baseball came to Hartland for a league game which turned out to be a close battle in the first few innings.

The visitors took an early 2 run lead in the opening inning. The dynamites tied it up in the bottom of the second with a lead off triple by  T. Russo. J. Cecchini drove Russo in with a single to right field. Cecchini stole 2nd base and was driven in by a single by A. Jones.

The Dynamites Added 2 more in the bottom of the third with a lead off hit by Terryberry and  an error. J. Jones drove in both with a two out single giving the Dynamite a 2 run lead going into the top of the 4th.

The Fusion tied it up with 2 runs but the Dynamites answered right back with 4 runs. A. Jones, Terryberry and Mettler all had hits in the inning and J. Heideman had a sac bunt that ended up scoring 2 runs by aggressive base running.

The Dynamites added 4 more runs to close out the game.

Russo and Mettler combined on the mound for the Dynamites giving up just 4 runs to 5 hits.

Monday the Dynamites made a trip to West Seneca to play a game under the lights against the home team Warriors. A. Paul started on the mound pitching 3 innings giving up 1 run and 1 hit. I. Poole came in and relieved with a 2 run 1 hit performance.

The lights weren’t the only thing on that night. The Dynamites bats were as well. Scoring 15 runs over 5 innings proved to be to much for the Warriors. T. Russo, J. Heideman, I. Poole had multiple hits as A.Paul, K. Wisnieski, J. Jones, B. Baes, J. Terryberry, J. Cecchini all added hits.

The Dynamites are in the Darien Lake Tournament this weekend where they will seeking their second straight tournament championship this season.
