Dynamites claim Ohio Tourney championship

Avenging an earlier round loss, the Dynamites 16U Travel Team shutout the KC Kryptonite 2-0 this afternoon to capture the Gold Bracket championship at the Youth World Series in Lebanon, Ohio.

Evan Poeller hurled a 1 hitter with 8 strikeouts for the Dynamites which had dropped a narrow 4-3 decision to the Kryptonite on Friday.

The Dynamite scored once in the third inning on an error and once in the fourth as Tyler Kroening singled and came home on a double by Vinny Gray.

The victory was the third of the day for the Dynamites which went 7-1-1 over the four day tournament to claim the title.

The Dynamites opened today’s tripleheader with a 6-1 win over the SLBolts as Aiden Romesser pitched a 3 hitter with 11 strikeouts.

A four run fourth inning on a double by Ryleigh Culver, an RBI sacrifice by Gavin Heideman, a two-run single by Ehren Pettapiece and an error keyed the win.

The Dynamites then shutout the Cincinnati Defenders 2-0 to gain a berth in the title contest as Heideman hurled a no hitter with 8 strikeouts.

The Dynamites two runs came in the fourth inning on a steal of home by Romesser and an RBI single by Nick Bucholtz. Singles by Romesser and Culver set up the opportunity.

Culver and Bucholtz both had a pair of hits.
