Dynamites avenge loss to Red Jackets

The Dynamites got a little payback for their first lose of the season with an 11-5 win at Lancaster against the Red Jackets on Tuesday night in Boys of Summer league play.The Dynamites scored 2 quick runs in the first on a two out double by Joe Cecchini. A lead-off double by Iverson Poole and a walk set up the threat.

Lancaster answered back in the bottom of the inning but were held to just the 2 runs on some great defense and good pitching by Brian Baes.

The Red Jackets took a 3-2 lead in the third but Baes again pitched out of trouble leaving runners in scoring position.

The Dynamites bats got going again in the third on lead off singles by Kaeden Wisnieski and Poole. Javon Jones singled in Wisnieski and Thomas Russo doubled in Poole. Cecchini then hit his second double of the day driving in both runners.  Aidan Paul then hit a double over the center fielders head. Jay Heideman hit a single to advance Paul to third and two straight walks plated in another run to make a run total of 5 in the inning.

Paul started on the mound in the third and got out of a walk caused bases loaded jam with an inning ending strikeout. He also stuck out 3 in the fourth to keep the lead at 7-3.

Up 7-4, the Dynamites scored 3 more runs in the sixth.  Baes and Wisnieski both had one out singles and scored on a double by Poole. Poole stole home on a past ball after stealing third giving the Dynamites a 10 to 3 lead .

Singles by Paul and Xander Payne and a walk loaded the bases in the seventh and Wisnieski followed up with an RBI single.

Poole finished the Red Jackets retiring the last three batters he faced with one strike out.

At the plate, Poole and Wisnieski had 3 hits. Cecchini and Paul had 2  while Baes, Payne, Heideman, Russo and Jones all added one.

Improving to 6 and 4 in the league and 23-10 overall, the Dynamites are in third place in the league. Thursday night in Hartland, the Dynamites face the second place team Titans Baseball.
