The Roy Hart Dynamites got their revenge on the Academy Stars Thursday night in the Boys of Summer league play with a 9 to 4 home field win In Hartland.

Aidan Paul started on the mound with 3 scoreless innings followed up by Thomas Russo to keep the Stars at bay.

The Dynamites took a lead in the second when Jay Heideman turned a walk into a run with some heads up play on the base paths taking advantage of some Stars miscues.

The Dynamites extended their lead with 3 runs in the third by more heads up base running and some good at bats by the Jones and Russo. Three walks turned into 3 runs on a sacrifice fly by Joe Cecchini and then two past balls that plated two more.

Iverson Poole, Ryan Mettler and Javon Jones had 3 straight hits to lead off the fourth and again with aggressive base running, all three were able to cross the plate.

The Stars made a fifth inning charge with 3 runs. However, any hope of more was dashed by a diving grab by Brian Baes in right field with 2 outs that saved 2 runs and took the wind out of the sails of the Stars.

Dynamites added 2 more runs in the 6th to put the game out of reach.

Xander Payne came in to pitch the final two innings with a 7 batter 6 out performance to shut down the Stars.

At the plate Payne led the team with 2 hits while Poole, Russo, Mettler and Amari and Javon Jones all had hits.
