Drunken driver hits house in Lockport

LOCKPORT – Today at 4:25 a.m., the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division received a 9-1-1 call reporting a reckless driver speeding in the Woodlands, Mobile Home Community.
As deputies were checking the area, a second 9-1-1 caller reported a vehicle had crashed into a home at 435 Knotty Pine Drive.
Upon investigation, deputies arrested the operator Dylan S. West, 21, of the City of Lockport. He was charged with driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor), driving while intoxicated .08% or more (misdemeanor), speed not reasonable or prudent (violation), and failure to use designated lane (violation), and remanded to the Niagara County Correctional Facility awaiting centralized arraignment.
There were no injuries reported by any of the occupants of the vehicle or home. At this time, there is no estimate of damage to the home.
