Moving on top to stay with a big second quarter scoring edge, Pembroke went on to defeat host Kendall 61-39 this evening in a Genesee Region League game.

Trailing 17-15 at the end of the opening period, Pembroke used a 15-2 second quarter surge to take charge by  30-19 margin at the half.

Garrett Totten scored seven including an early three and then back-to-back layups to close the stanza which saw the Dragons outpoint the Eagles 13-0 over the first six minutes.

Keeping the momentum, Pembroke used a 12-4 run over the first four minutes of the third period to extend the advantage to 19, 42-23, a run which include tallies by five players.

Kendall did close the period with a 7-0 run, including five by Nicholas Spellan, to cut the deficit a bit to 13, 45-32, but the Eagles would get no closer.

Pembroke pulled away for good by opening the final period with a 13-2 run to stretch the advantage to as much as 24 at 58-34.

Totten finished with 17 and Dulski 13 to lead the Dragons as Godzala added 9, Patrick Wolford 7, Matt Barry and Trevor Vaughn 5, Austin Connell 3 and Hunter Schodel 2.
