Dragons edge past Tigers

Coming up oh so close to earning that elusive first victory of the season, Lyndonville dropped a narrow 51-48 decision at Pembroke this evening in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game.

The tight, sea-saw battle was deadlocked down the stretch at 41-41 and 44-44.
The Tigers stayed within three in the final minute after a basket by Phillip Gresham and got the ball back off a turnover but could not net the equalizer.

Patrick Hinkson scored 11 points to lead Lyndonville as Nick Hinkson and Austin Buckland each added 10.

Lyndonville trailed by narrow margins of 19-16 after one period, 29-25 at the half and 39-38 at the three-quarter mark.

Elba 46, Holley 36
Jumping out to a 23-12 first quarter lead, Elba went on to defeat host Holley 46-36 in a G-R contest.

Joey DeFelice had 11 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for Holley as Josh Porter had 10 points and 5 rebounds and Ian Penders 10 rebounds.

Oakfield-Alabama 66, Kendall 45
Up 33-22 at the half, Oakfield-Alabama went on to defeat visiting Kendall 66-45 in a G-R game.

Mookie Nauden led the way for Kendall with 13 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.
