A whopping 26-2 advantage at the free throw line keyed Pembroke to a 53-46 win over host Holley this evening in a Genesee Region League game.

The Dragons made good on 23 of 26 free throw attempts compared to just 1 of 2 for the Hawks.

Holley’s Carson Major goes in for a layup against Pembroke defender Patrick Wolford.

Jarrod Ludwig scored 17 points and Noah Godzala 12 to lead the way for Pembroke.

Carson Major took game high honors with 21 and Matt Wilson added 14 for Holley.

Pembroke took a slender 13-11 lead at the end of the first period on two free throws in the final second by Ludwig.

Major scored 9 in the opening stanza to keep Holley close.

The Hawks rallied into a 23-22 lead at the half on a three at the buzzer by Wilson who had a total of 9 points in the second period.

Three threes by Major in the third period  helped Holley maintain a narrow 38-37 lead at the three-quarter mark.

However, 10 fourth period free throws, along with three baskets, help rally Pembroke for the win.
