Unable to overcome a two touchdown half-time deficit, the Genesee Orleans (GO) Tigers dropped a 38-16 decision to the Southern Tier Diesel in a Northeastern Football Alliance game Saturday night at Olean.

A touchdown just before half-time gave Southern Tier a 20-8 lead which the Diesel never relinquished.

The Tigers stayed close early on a touchdown run by Clay Johnson and a two-point conversion pass from Rob Williams to Gary LeFrois.

However, the Tigers only touchdown of the second half came on a pass from Williams to LeFrois. Jon Wells caught a pass from Williams for the two-point conversion.

Now at 1-2 after three straight season opening road games, the Tigers will begin the home portion of their schedule by hosting the Western New York Dragons at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Pembroke Town Park.
