The old adage says April showers bring May flowers but for area high school baseball and softball teams the April showers like those which occurred this afternoon only means more postponements.

The Niagara-Orleans slate of baseball and softball contests including Roy-Hart vs. Medina, Albion vs. Wilson and Newfane vs. Barker were all washed out as was the Lyndonville vs. Pembroke Genesee Region League softball game.

Tigers open G-R track season

Lyndonville made its return to Genesee Region League track competition today after a three year absence as the Tigers faced Attica, Pembroke and Oakfield-Alabama at Oakfield.

Dustin Hinckley was a triple winner in the 100, 200 and 400 against all three opponents for the Tigers as Evan Horn took the long jump.
