Depew stickmen hold off Medina rally
A late rally fell just short as Medina dropped a narrow 7-6 decision at Depew in a Class D Division lacrosse game this afternoon.
Trailing 4-0 at the half and 5-2 after three quarters, Medina rallied to outscore Depew 4-2 in the final period but the Mustangs could not net the equalizer.
Josh Wilson and Cayden Lilleby both scored 2 goals for Medina and Lucius Wagner and Will Prest each netted 1.
The Mustangs had defeated the Wildcats 10-8 in their earlier season meeting.
Now at 5-4 in the division and 8-5 overall, Medina next hosts Gowanda in a D Division game at 7: 15 p.m. Friday.
