Defense keys Medina Colts title victory
A strong effort by the defense sparked the Medina Colts to a narrow 12-6 victory over Batavia Saturday in the Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) Mini Division playoff championship game at Vets Park.
Stetson Hall had 2 interceptions, Trey Shine 1 interception, Elijah Doxey a fumble recovery and Jayzon Wills a sack to highlight that defensive effort. Shine had a total of 5 tackles and Doxey and Christian Moss 4 each.
On offense for the Colts, which avenged their only regular season loss, Moss had 21 carries for 114 yards and a touchdown and Preston Woodworth a 60 yard TD pass to Shine.
