ALBION – The Orleans County Administration Building has closed for the rest of today after a motorist suffered a medical event and struck a pole at about 11 a.m., compromising some of the utilities for the site on Route 31.

The building may reopen tomorrow if the utilities are restored. That will depend on progress today at the site, said Chuck Nesbitt, the county chief administrative officer.

The Mental Health Building, located behind the Administration Building, remains open. County personnel are at the driveway for the buildings, directing people to their mental health appointments.
