Cougar cagers top Eagles

Jumping out to a double digit first quarter lead, North Rose-Wolcott went on to defeat Kendall 61-47 in the Martin Luther King Jr. Classic this afternoon at Monroe Community College.

Chris Dean had a game high 23 points and 11 rebounds and Jake Stevenson 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Cougars which built up leads of 16-6 after one quarter, 30-19 at the half and 44-29 at the three-quarter mark.

Mookie Nauden had 12 points and Devin Appleton 11 for Kendall as Alex Sutphen and Garret Love each added 8.

Love also grabbed off 9 rebounds and Nauden 6.

Now at 6-5 overall, Kendall next visits Wheatland-Chili at 7 p.m. Wednesday in a Genesee Region League game.
