Cosmetology students show off skills in runway extravaganza

MEDINA – Juniors and seniors in the Orleans Career and Technical Education Center’s Cosmetology program showed of some stunning looks in a runway extravaganza.
Teachers Anne Carnahan and Sue Lindke tasked the juniors with creating evening wear looks and the seniors with fantasy looks with hair and makeup. Local industry professionals were invited in to judge the finished effect and then the students and their models hit the runway at the center to a very appreciative audience.

Juniors: 1st Place – Erika Chilcott (Lockport), 2nd Place – Petra Bish (Barker) and 3rd Place – Michayla Greene (Barker).
Seniors: 1st Place – Devin Smeal (Newfane), 2nd Place – Sara Smith (Medina) and 3rd Place – Iyanna King (Lockport).
