Cooper, Team Buffalo score 2 tourney wins

Medina High senior Jalin Cooper and his Team Buffalo teammates opened the BCANY Hoops Festival in Johnson City today with a pair of victories.
Buffalo opened with a 60-54 win over NYC-Catholic as Noah Hutchins (Park) led the way with 22 points. Julian Cunningham (St. Francis) added 15 and Willard Anderson (East) 11.
Buffalo followed that performance up with an 80-74 victory over Adirondack to improve to 2-0.
Hutchins again led the scoring with 18, while Anderson and Joe Jones (Park) each contributed 15. Cooper added 6.
Buffalo will continue pool play on Saturday against Mid-Hudson at 2:30 p.m. and Central at 7:00 p.m.
The event will also feature a slam dunk contest at 1:30 p.m., which Cooper has been selected to participate in.
