Cooper has fast start for Dukes track team
Already a member of the Duquesne University football team, Medina High graduate Jalin Cooper has made a sparkling debut with the Dukes track team.
In his first race for the Dukes, Cooper won the 100 meter dash at Carnegie Mellon in the season opener a week ago in a time of :10.76 which is the fifth best all-time at Duquesne.
He also was a member of the winning 400 meter relay team which scored a win in a time of :41.27 which is fourth list all-time at Duquesne.
This past weekend Cooper had a personal best time of :22.30 in the 200 meter dash.
During his scholastic days at Medina Cooper earned all-league honors for the Mustangs in football, basketball and track. In track he earned top five finishes at the state championship meet in both the 100 and 200.
