Congressman Chris Collins (NY-27) released the following statement regarding the Special Counsel investigation:

“The Department of Justice’s summary of the Special Counsel investigation demonstrates what we have known for two years. There was no collusion between President Trump’s campaign and Russia, nor was there evidence to support an obstruction charge against the President. It’s now time that House Democrats put aside their witch hunt and join Republicans in focusing on the issues that Americans really care about.”

New York’s senators, Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles Schumer, said the entire report from special counsel Robert Mueller should be made public.

“Above all else, the American people deserve transparency and accountability,” Gillibrand posted on Twitter. “Attorney General Barr must release Mueller’s full report to the public without any delay.”

Schumer posted on Twitter that Americans “deserve the truth” about the full report.

“The American people are entitled to see the Mueller report, and its underlying documentation, for themselves,” Schumer said. “They do not need or want the Trump Administration to summarize, sanitize, or spin the report. They simply want the truth.”
