College Soccer: Derisley earns All-Conference honors; Lewis has winning goal in OT

Albion High graduate and Genesee Community College sophomore defender Paige Derisley has been named to the Mid State Athletic Conference All Conference team.

GCC has advanced to the Region III North Division playoff finals after edging Onondaga Community College 1-0 in the semifinals.

The GCC roster also has four other Orleans Couny players including Quinn McCue from Albion, Julie Coble from Kendall and Sara Kingdollar and Tatum Gagne from Holley, all freshmen.

A goal by Lyndonville graduate Ella Lewis in the second overtime period earned Finger Lakes Community College a 3-2 win over Herkimer Community College in the semifinals of the Region III Division A soccer playoffs on Tuesday.

Lewis, a freshman, who also scored the Lakers first goal of the day, now has a total of 24 on the season.

The roster for FLCC, which will now face top seeded Mohawk Community College for the title on Saturday, also includes Halee Passarell, a sophomore midfielder from Holley.
