Classic car destroyed in Hartland garage fire last night

HARTLAND – A fire last at 2961 Johnson Creek Rd. destroyed a classic car and damaged other vehicles inside a garage, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is reporting this morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 1:13 a.m., after a call that the detached garage was on fire.

Upon arrival of sheriff deputies and fire personnel, a 30-by-40-foot pole barn-style structure was found with fire and smoke showing from inside. Inside the building where several classic cars and motorcycles, as well as utility vehicles.

Once inside, Hartland Volunteer Fire Co. was able to quickly extinguish the fire. At this time the cause of the fire is undetermined, as is the amount of damage sustained. One classic car was a total loss and other vehicles inside were damaged.

The Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit responded and the cause is under investigation at this time. There were no injuries reported.

Fire departments from Hartland, Gasport, Middleport and Barker responded to the scene.
