SPENCERPORT – A Clarendon man was killed in a two-car accident last Thursday at a busy intersection without power.

Ogden police are investigating the accident at Route 31 and South Union Street that occurred at about 7:45 p.m. The traffic lights weren’t working and stop signs were set up at the intersection, but police say they may not have been visible due to darkness and no electricity.

Frank L. Palermo, 70, of Clarendon was driving a pickup truck and collided with another truck, whose driver was treated for minor injuries and released.

Ogden police told reporters it was possible Palermo suffered a medical condition but that results from an autopsy may take several weeks.

Palermo was a former CWA union organizer at Delco-Valeo in Rochester.

He and his wife of 35 years, Marcia, have two daughters and two sons, and many grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
