Barker High senior Katrina Clare will continue her field hockey career at SUNY Geneseo this fall where she will major in Psychology.

“Katrina has had an impressive career at Barker. Her role with the program has grown over the years and she has improved in all facets of the game. Although her primary contributions on the field the past two seasons were as a goal scorer and playmaker, her leadership and desire to win and to push herself and her teammates was very evident. The work ethic and passion she brings to her team will be a welcome addition to Geneseo and be missed at BCS” says Jeff Costello, Barker Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach.

Clare is a three time first team Niagara-Orleans All-League and All-Western New York honoree as well as a three-time All-State team selection. She helped lead the Lady Raiders to league, sectional and regional titles and a berth in the state semifinals each of the past two years.

“We are very excited for Katrina to join the Knights field hockey program for the 2020 Fall season. She is a talented student- athlete and we look forward to building upon our success from this past season.” said SUNY Geneseo Head coach Margaret McConnell.

Her older sister Gabriella was also a four year field hockey player at Geneseo.
