Channel Cats sweep Purple Eagles; TigerSharks take two from Seahorses

Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Keira Sidari was a double winner in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly for Albion during this evening’s home meet against Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville.

Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville swept to a doubleheader victory over host Albion in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening. The Channel Cats won the boys’ meet 53-41 and the girls’ competition 62-31.

Sean Labiak was a double winner in the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Freestyle and Max Stern doubled in the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke for the RBL boys’ squad which also had Andrew Ossont win the 200 Free.

Finn McCue doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke and Dallas Ecker took the 100 Butterfly for Albion.

Julia Miles won both the 50 Free and 100 Free for the RBL girls’ squad which also had Amelia Konstanty take the 200 Free, Madelina Pavlock the 500 Free, Ava Achtyl the 100 Backstroke and Nadia White the 100 Breaststroke.

Keira Sidari won both the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly for Albion.

Akron swimmers down Medina

Akron bested visiting Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening winning the boys’ competition 121-27 and the girls’ 91-74.

Aiden Polkowski was a double winner in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Free and Dawson Stone took both the 50 Free and 100 Backstroke for the Akron boys which also had Canyon Sundown win the 200 Individual Medley, Colton Cleveland the 500 Free and Elden Ground the 100 Breaststroke.

Polkowski, Stone, Sundown, Jonas Ground and Colton Cleveland were each on two winning relays for the TigerSharks.

Medina’s Henry Rigerman won the 100 Butterfly.

Kaila Szczygielski won both the 50 Free and 500 Free, Mayah Harris the Butterfly and Breaststroke and Audrey Garverick the Individual Medley and Backstroke for the Akron girls which also had Megan Gates win the 100 Free.

Harris, Szczgielski and Gates were also each on two winning relays.

Malloree Rinker won the 200 Free for Medina.
