Channel Cats sweep Purple Eagles

Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville scored a Senior Night sweep over visiting Albion on Tuesday evening.

The RBL boys team downed Albion 99-67 to remain tied for first place with Akron at 6-1. RBL will visit Akron in a key regular season finale on Thursday.

The Channel Cats had a trio of individual event double winners as Andrew Ossont took the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke, Sean Labiak the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke and Evan Gerdes the 200 Free and 500 Free. Max Stern also captured the 100 Free.

Dallas Ecker won the 100 Butterfly for Albion which is now 2-5.

The BBL girls team bested Albion 96-74 to clinch at least a tie for the title. The Channel Cats remain undefeated at 7-0 heading into Thursday’s regular season finale at Akron which is now 6-1.

Julia Miles doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Free, Nadia White took both the 500 Free and Breaststroke an Ava Achtyl won the Backstroke for the Channel Cats.

Keira Sidari won both the IM and Butterfly and Mia Olles took the 200 Free for Albion which is now 2-5.
