Channel Cats set pace at All-League meet
Contributed Photo – This quartet of Roy-Hart/Barker swimmers had a hand in winning a total of four events at the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League meet at Akron this evening. From left are Carson Hashem, Garrett Glyshaw, Nick Armenia and Sean Labiak. The foursome teamed up to win both the 200 Medley and 400 Freestyle relays. Labiak also won the 200 Freestyle and Hashem the 100 Freestyle.
Roy-Hart/Barker took first place in four events to lead the way at the annual Niagara-Orleans League Boys All-League meet at Akron this evening.
Sean Labiak won the 200 Freestyle (1:55.49) and Carson Hashem the 100 Free (:53.02) for the Channel Cats. Labiak and Hashem also teamed up with Nick Armenia and Garrett Glyshaw to win both the 200 Medley Relay (1:48/83) and the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:41.50).
The Albion quartet of Finn McCue, Joel Slack, Matt Kania and Mark Ames teamed up to win the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:39.14). McCue also took first place honors in the 50 Free (:23.28).
Newfane’s Noah Kneeland was a double winner in the 500 Free (5:10.19) and 100 Breaststroke (1:07.29)as his Panthers teammate Dylan Lamont won the 200 Individual Medley (2:14.52).
Akron’s Dawson Stone was a double winner in the 100 Butterfly (:58.16) and 100 Backstroke (:57.20).
The girls All-League meet will be held at Newfane on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
