Channel Cats score sweep over Seahorses

Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville scored a sweep over visiting Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening.

The Channel Cats won the boys’ meet 79-47 and the girls’ competition 85-54.

Sean Labiak was a double winner in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly for the RBL boys’ squad as Andrew Ossont took the 50 Free, Max Stern the 100 Breaststroke, Carson Hashem the 200 Free and Evan Gerdes the 100 Free.

Caiden Class won the 500 Free and Jackson Moreland the 100 Backstroke for Medina.

RBL is now 5-1 and Medina 0-6.

Abigail Glyshaw took both the 200 Free and 500 Free for the RBL girls as Alexis Seib won the IM, Maria Trombley the 50 Free, Julia Miles the 100 Free and Cora Lennon the Butterfly.

Madelynn Rutledge took the 100 Backstroke and Iyla Lilleby the 100 Breaststroke for Medina.

RBL stays undefeated at 6-0 and Medina slips to 1-5.

Akron sweep Newfane
The Akron boys’ and girl’s teams both bested Newfane to improve to 4-1. The boys’ won 96-71 and the girls’ 91-74.

Aiden Polkowski won both the 200 Free and Butterfly for the Akron boys as Dawson Stone took the 50 Free and Colton Cleveland the 500 Free.

Noah Kneeland doubled in the IM and Breaststroke and Elijah Thompson in the 100 Free and Backstroke for Newfane which is now 3-3.

Audrey Garverick doubled in the IM and Backstroke, Kaila Szczygielski in the 50 Free and 500 Free and Mayah Harris in the Butterfly and Breaststroke for the Akron girls as Megan Gates took the 100 Free.

Kimberly Schmitt took the 200 Free for Newfane which slips to 1-5.
