Channel Cats score sweep over Seahorses; Purple Eagles split with Panthers

Remaining undefeated at 4-0, the Roy-Hart swim teams swept to a doubleheader victory over host Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League meet this afternoon.

The Channel Cats won the boys meet 110-60 and the girls’ competition 116-54.

Carter Green doubled in the 200 Freestyle and 500 Free and Michael Miller in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke to lead the way for the Roy-Hart boys squad.

The Channel Cats also had Matt Scott win the 200 Individual Medley, Will Rickard the 50 Free and Ozzy Moore the 100 Free. Moore, Rickard and Noah Stern were each also on two winning relays.

Isaac Pace won the 100 Breaststroke for Medina. He also teamed up with Hunter Heil, Michael Marker and Xander Payne to win the 200 Medley Relay.

The Roy-Hart girls got individual event wins from seven different swimmers including Mandy Hill (200 Free), Molly Russell (Individual Medley), Alexis Seib (Butterfly), Kayla Hagen (100 Free), Kennedy Lang (500 Free), Madison Ohol (Backstroke) and Jordyn Bobzien (Breaststroke).

Ohol, Hill, Bobzien and Hagen were also each on to winning relays.

Hannah Heil won the 50 Free for Medina.

The Medina boys squad is now 2-1-1 and the girls 1-3.

Albion, Newfane split
Albion (2-1-1) defeated host Newfane (1-3) 108-57 in an N-O boys meet as Ryan Krenning was a double winner in the 50 Free and 100 Free.

Newfane (3-1) downed Albion (1-3) in the girls meet 122-35.
