Champs head HUB All County boys cage team
Niagara-Orleans League champion Medina and Genesee Region League Division II champion Lyndonville have both placed two players on the first team of the annual Orleans HUB All-County boys basketball squad.
Medina is represented by senior Izaiah Rhim and junior Nate Sherman.
Lyndonville has placed senior Zach Johnson and sophomore Nathan Dillenbeck.
Rounding out the first team are Albion junior Deyonci Farley and Kendall senior Nate Warters, the unit’s sixth man.
Lyndonville, which won a school record 18 games this season, has also placed two players on the second team in senior Nathan Poler and junior Nathan Hydock.
The second unit also includes Medina sophomore Brian Fry, Albion senior Bryce Pritchard, Holley junior Kohl Morgan and Kendall senior John Rath who is the team’s sixth man.
Rhim, Warters, Farley, Pritchard, Johnson and Poler are all repeat honorees.
Sherman led Medina in scoring with 273 points (13.0 ave.) and also grabbed off 155 rebounds and had 33 steals.
Rhim scored 228 points (10.9 ave.) and had a team leading totals of 189 rebounds and 93 assists to go along with 46 steals.
Johnson led Lyndonville in scoring with 322 points (14.6 ave.) He also had 152 rebounds, 169 assists and 43 steals.
Dillenbeck scored 301 points (13.7 ave.) and had 63 rebounds, 51 assists and 45 steals.
Farley led Albion in both scoring with 385 points (18.3 ave.) and rebounding with 200. He also had 58 steals and 45 assists.
Warters led Kendall in scoring with 356 points (17.8 ave.) as he topped the 1,000 career point milestone late in the season. He also had 86 rebounds, 45 assists and 28 steals.
Hydock scored 281 points (12.8 ave.) and pulled down a team leading 179 rebounds.
Poler scored 250 points (11.4 ave.) and had 165 rebounds, 54 assists and 53 steals.
Fry scored 202 points (9.6 ave.) and had 104 rebounds, 43 steals and 37 assists.
Pritchard scored 199 points (9.4 ave.) and had 94 rebounds, 31 assists and 26 steals.
Morgan averaged 14 points 11 rebounds and 2 steals per game for Holley.
Rath scored 245 points (12.2 ave.) and had 95 rebounds, 70 assists and 54 steals.
