Carlton players celebrate playoff title victory
Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Carlton ended a 24 year title drought by edging past Sandstone 1-0 in the Albion Midget League playoff championship game Tuesday evening at the Midget League Field. Celebrating after the victory the Carlton players include, in front, Gavin Boyce, Caidyn Wilson, Noah Kowalski, Jo Jo Allport and Colin McMullin. In back are Brayden Snook, Finn McCue, Dominic Jurs, Scott Grager, Drew Boyce and Donovan Braley. Drew Boyce and McCue combined to pitch the shutout and Wilson drove in the only run in the very first inning.
