Byron resident killed in motorcycle accident after collision with deer
BYRON – State Police are reporting that a 28-year-old Byron resident was killed on Sunday after a collision with a deer.
Daylin Fagundo-Rodriguez was a passenger on a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Leland Fuller, IV, 30 of Byron. They were travelling on Cockram Road at 8:16 p.m.
State Police said a deer entered the roadway and was struck by the Harley Davidson and was killed.
Both occupants were ejected. Fuller was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries and Fagundo-Rodriguez was pronounced deceased at the scene, State Police said.
The NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit assisted in this investigation, which remains an active investigation, State Police said.
