Byron-Bergen surges past Albion
Pulling away in the second half, Byron-Bergen downed visiting Albion 81-53 this evening in a non league basketball game.
Corden Zimmerman poured in 38 points and Gianni Ferrara 19 to set the pace for the Bees which led by only a 39-30 margin at the half.
Caleb Fox scored 12, Javon Jones 10, Jahmeek Riley 9, Tyler Gibson 8 and Shakarim Drisdom 7 for Albion.
The contest was the season open for Albion which next hosts Burgard in another non league contest on Tuesday.
Byron-Bergen improves to 3-1.
Notre Dame 71, Roy-Hart 44
Jordan Welker scored 20, Jimmy Fanara 15 and Jaden Sherwood 12 to lead Notre Dame to a 71-44 non league win over visiting Roy-Hart.
Vincent Buscarino scored 18 and Aiden Petrie 12 for Roy-Hart which trailed 50-24 at the half.
The contest was the season opener for Roy-Hart which next visits St. Mary’s, Lancaster on Tuesday in another non league game.
Swimming
Roy-Hart swept to a non league victory over Wheatland-Chili taking the boys’ meet 76-16 and the girls’ competition 76-36.
Jake Hagen was an individual event double winner for the Channel Cats in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Free.
