Byron-Bergen spikers down Medina; Lyndonville tops Kendall in four set matches

Byron-Bergen topped host Medina 25-12, 25-9, 21-25, 30-28 in a non league girls volleyball match this evening.

Hannah VanSkiver served up the final two points of Byron-Bergen’s fourth set overtime win registering an ace for the deciding point.

Madison Farnsworth, who led the Lady Bees at the net, got off to a quick start registering 5 kills in the opening set. She also had 2 aces which keyed an early service run of points 5-9 vaulting the Lady Bees out to a 9-2 lead.

Back-to-back aces by VanSkiver helped up the lead to 15-4.

Farnsworth finished with 18 kills, 5 aces and 20 digs, VanSkiver 4 aces and 2 kills, Abby Vurraro 23 assists and 2 aces and Lexi Vurraro 21 assists and 2 aces.

Camri King had 8 kills, 3 blocks and 9 assists on the evening for Medina as Maddie Williams had 8 kills and Elle Gross 4 and 2 blocks.

Lyndonville 25-23-25-25, Kendall 19-25-8-16
Lyndonville bested host Kendall 25-19, 23-25, 25-8, 25-16 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls volleyball match.

Alecia Hinkson had 11 kills, 5 aces and 8 digs, Carlie Russo 9 kills and 2 blocks, Natalie Ostrowski 20 assists, Hannah Despard 18 digs and Cassidy Boyce 5 aces and 5 kills to lead the way for Lyndonville.

Jenna Regan had 5 kills, Brittney Marks 8 assists and 13 digs and Kelly Mayes 3 blocks for Kendall.
