Byron-Bergen rallies past Lyndonville

Trailing 27-24 at the half, Byron-Bergen rallied to outscore visiting Lyndonville 32-21 in the second half to claim a 56-48 Genesee Region League victory this evening.

The Bees rallied into a 39-34 lead at the three-quarter mark after outscoring the Tigers 15-7 in the third period. Nicolus Baubie hit two threes and Bryce Yockel and Jerrod Amesbury both added four points to lead that uprising.

Byron-Bergen then outpointed Lyndonville 17-14 in the final period to claim the win as Alexander Brunstead scored 10 to spark that surge.

Brunstead finished with 13 and Baubie 12.

Nate Dillenbeck scored 18 and Nathan Hydock 14 to pace Lyndonville as Russ Stephens added 8, Noah Poler 6 and Casey Winiecki 2.

Hydock scored 7 and Dillenbeck 5 in the opening period to spark Lyndonville out to a 14-9 lead.

Dillenbeck then tallied 8 and Stephens 5 in the second period to help keep the Tigers on top 26-24 at the half.

Byron-Bergen is now 6-1 in the league and 8-3 overall while Lyndonville is 5-2, 8-3.
