Byron-Bergen boys edge past Holley
Byron-Bergen nipped visiting Holley 58-55 this evening to improve to 2-1 in Genesee Region League boys basketball competition.
Noah Clare scored 10 points in the decisive final period to help Byron-Bergen claim the narrow win.
The Bees led 26-20 at the half and 39-34 after three quarters. Holley pulled to within two at 57-55 in the final minute but could not pull even.
Vinny Golisano scored 22 and Destin Kuyal 16 to lead the Hawks which are also 2-1 in G-R action. Kuyal tallied 10 and Golisano 6 in the final period to keep the Hawks right in the contest.
