Roy-Hart, Barker post field hockey wins
Scoring road wins, Roy-Hart defeated Wilson 3-1 and Barker downed Newfane 3-0 this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League field hockey competition.
Host Kenmore nipped Medina 2-1 in overtime in the other contest.
Roy-Hart 3, Wilson 1
Alexis Lovewell, Shannon Dent and Angelina Ciarfella took turns scoring the goals for Roy-Hart as Samantha Choate, Sydney Newton and Rielly Albee earned assists.
Elizabeth Soles scored for Wilson.
Barker 3, Newfane 0
A goal in the first minute by Katrina Clare, off an assist from Jillian Moeller, sparked Barker to the win over Newfane.
Moeller quickly made it 2-0 with a goal just 2:40 in as Clare earned the assist.
Lena Fazzolari netted the Lady Raiders final goal.
Abby Ignatowski earned the shutout in goal.
Newfane goalie Mia Ludwig made 17 saves, including stopping a penalty shot.
Kenmore 2, Medina 1 (OT)
Britney Waite scored both goals for Kenmore in the narrow overtime win.
Teanna Cardone scored the Medina goal in the second half which knotted the contest at 1-1.
