Blue Jays blank Athletics for 7th win

The Blue Jays remained unbeaten going to 7-0 on the season by beating the Athletics 7-0 on Saturday at Butts Park.

The Blue Jays scored 4 runs in the first inning, 2 in the third, and added a solo home run by Preston Woodworth in the fourth.

The Blue Jays pitched 5 different pitchers in route to keeping the Athletics scoreless.  Brody Fry pitched first 2 innings and had 5 strikeouts. Aidan Papaj, Jimmy Dieter, Preston Woodworth, and Carter Woodworth each pitched one inning and combined for 9 strikeouts.

Preston Woodworth led batting with a double and home run. Brady Christaansen had a double and a single with 1 RBI,  Colton Smith Ha 2 singles and 2 RBI’s, Fry 2 singles and had 1 RBI,  Dieter 2 singles and had 1 RBI, Papaj had 2 singles, Carter Woodworth had a single and 1 RBI, and Aiden Wisniewski added a single.
