A big 28 point second quarter scoring explosion powered Attica to a 42-0 victory over host Holley this afternoon in a season opening Genesee Region League football game.

Breaking away from a scoreless deadlock, Attica scored on two touchdown passes, an interception and a run in the decisive second quarter to quickly roar out to a commanding 28-0 half-time advantage.

Holley did drive inside the Attica 20 twice in the second half but could not dent the goal line.

An interception in the end zone wiped out the third quarter threat which had reached the 10 yard line.

A pass completion by quarterback Nick Passarell to Stephen Mallett and a run by Clarence Moyer helped the Hawks reach the Blue Devils 20 in the fourth quarter before the drive stalled out.
