Big third period lifts Bees past Purple Eagles
A big third quarter scoring surge keyed Byron-Bergen to an 80-60 win over visiting Albion in a non league boys basketball game this afternoon.
Leading by a narrow two point, 38-36, margin at the half, the Bees outscored the Purple Eagles 26-12 in the decisive third period to open up a commanding 64-48 advantage.
Braedyn Chambry sparked Byron-Bergen with 34 points.
Blake Preston scored 16 and Brody Vercruysee 13 to lead Albion as Wesley Olles had 9, Isaiah Riley 8 and Kyle Radder 7.
Albion next hosts Roy-Hart at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in a Niagara-Orleans League contest.
