Senior Night proved to be a special one for Barker as the Raiders not only downed visiting rival Roy-Hart 55-45 in the Niagara-Orleans League season finale but also had senior Nate Luckman surpass the 1,000 point career scoring milestone.

Luckman, who scored a total of 25 on the night including 14 of 16 from the foul line, netted his milestone 1,000th point on a free throw with 35 seconds remaining in the second quarter.

Eddie Wasnock and Jake Arnold both chipped in with 11 points for the Raiders as Ryan Voss had 6 and Shawn Callaghan 2.

Jacob Bruning sparked Roy-Hart with 24 as Brendon Hess added 11, DJ Davis 8 and Eric Fitch 2.

Up by 11, 44-33, at the three-quarter mark, Barker saw Roy-Hart rally back to within four, 47-43, with 1:16 remaining after a three-point play by Bruning and a layup by Davis.

However, the Raiders turned back the challenge with some clutch free throw shooting as Luckman went 6 for 6 and Arnold 2 for 2 in the final minute.

Roy-Hart had grabbed a 14-11 lead at the end of the first period as Bruning tallied 7 and Hess 4 for the Rams in the early going. Voss hit a pair of threes for Barker during that stretch.

Rebounding, Barker put together an 18-12 second period scoring edge to rally into a 29-26 lead at the half.

Wasnock and Arnold both had a two and a three and Luckman 7 points to lead that Raiders uprising. Bruning had 9 to keep the Rams close.

The Raiders then used a 15-7 third period scoring edge to extend the advantage to 11, 44-33, at the three-quarter mark. A layup and a jumper by Luckman, who had a total of 8 points in the period, and a rebound bucket by Callaghan capped off that surge.

Arnold and Luckman traded scores with Bruning and Fitch to open the final period and keep Barker up by 9, 47-38.

Roy-Hart did close to within four, 47-43, after the three-point play by Bruning and layup by Davis but the sharp free throw shooting by Luckman and Sullivan in the final minute locked up the victory for the Raiders.

In avenging an earlier season 60-54 loss, Barker finishes the N-O season at 5-7 while Roy-Hart winds up at 4-8.
